    A global professional services firm seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Transformation for their Los Angeles office. The Senior Manager liaises with the functional finance/accounting departments, technology, practice offices and senior management to continually improve and transform processes and procedures, and provide the firm with more seamless end-to-end information flow, while accomplishing these and other critical functions:

    • Gaining understanding of current procedures through discussions, interviews, and observation; also documenting processes as base case for comparison against proposed changes in all areas of finance/accounting including billing, cash collection/posting, procurement, voucher control, voucher payments, fixed assets, intercompany, reconciliations, general ledger entry, financial reporting, and budgeting.
    • Identifying potential improvements through current process and system documentation and discussions with stakeholders, including those who actually perform actual work.
    • Collaborating with functional teams, practice offices, management, and technology (when required) to build consensus on changes and future state.
    • Leading projects from design to implementation stages including providing management updates on progress, issues and areas where escalation is required.
    • Leading project team members as assigned to various projects and initiatives including providing feedback to the team member’s direct manager for development.
    • Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers.


    The successful candidate must have experience and knowledge of core accrual and cash accounting principles, as well as advanced understanding of key controls in financial transactions and reporting processes. The successful candidate will have advanced process documentation, process design, and project management skills, along with strong analytical skills needed for all primary duties of position.

    Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
    • An MBA or CPA is preferred.
    • 10 years related experience is required, in a professional services environment preferred.
    • 5 years related experience leading financial transformation initiatives is also required.
    • 5 years of supervisor experience desired
