Private equity backed sales and marketing company seeks a Manager of Data Analysis to join their dynamic team. Position will report directly to CFO, but will work with / support numerous other senior executives including SVP marketing, Sales, Operations and interact with our PE ownership, Controller, Directors of HR and IT.
Responsibilities:
- Data management / analytical skills
- Possesses a high skill level to create structure, manipulate large amounts of data in different mediums (SQL, excel, etc) for purposes of analysis and data mining
- Able to provide data “governance’ working with IT and various business department owners to ensure a high level of data quality is maintained for use by the management team
- Able to perform “ad hoc’ analysis – i.e. testing our hypothesis by obtaining and arranging various data elements to prove or disprove a hypothesis
- Forecasting / Budgeting experience
- Experience in building and managing a forecast and / or budgeting model
- Analytical software experience
- Experience in utilizing other software tools functionality to perform analysis
- Operational support experience
- Possesses the skills to provide training to other employees on the definitions of data elements and the processes that create them
- ERP Transition Experience
- Experience in utilizing ERP functionality to perform analysis
- PE experience (10%)
- Experience working in a highly data intensive and inquisitive business environment
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years data analysis/finance background
- Advance Excel/SQL
- MBA preferred
