    High tech manufacturing company is adding a Senior A/R Specialist to the team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Finance Controller in a variety of corporate A/R accounting functions, including for the accurate and timely process all sales order releases, credits requests, customer refunds, and other ad-hoc projects as necessary. The position starts out at Temporary, but has the potential to go Temporary to Hire, and is paying $30 to $39 an hour for the right person.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for processing and applying the payments received from customers, electronic payments received from web orders and wires to the customer invoices and performing the daily bank deposits.
    • Communicate with the inventory team to ensure goods ship in a timely manner.
    • Works closely with the accounting group in reconciliation issues under tight deadlines.
    • Resolve the dispute with the help of the sales and management team.
    • Monitor past due invoice and inform sales team for payment collection.
    • Verify deductions in customer payment such as Vendor complaints/freight charges etc. and inform responsible dept. to dispute if deduction is unreasonable.
    • Record transactions, including returned products to ensure everything is record correctly before each month end.
    • Calculate A/R reserve on a quarterly basis.
    • Inventory audit with auditor (internally and CPA) on a quarterly basis.
    • Coordinate with accounting team member to prepare data for annual audit and provide all supporting documents for A/R related test questions from the audit.
    • Ad-hoc projects as necessary.

     Education & Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience; manufacturing background is a plus.
    • Extensive knowledge of large ERP (i.e., SAP, NetSuite or Oracle) is preferred.
    • Advanced Excel skills - V-Lookup's, Pivot Tables.
    • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards, ASC 606
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Must possess the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
    • Detail oriented and able to work under pressure.
    • Good work ethic and displays a can-do type of attitude.
