Management company for well-known shoe brands is seeking a dynamic Staff Accountant to perform the following:

• Responsible for full-cycle accounts payable process to ensure timely payment of all reimbursements and invoices in accordance with vendor terms and agreed payment batch schedules.
• Process all receipts and ensure timely collection of receivables from customers
• Maintain the prepaid expense account and rollforward schedules
• Process expense reports in accordance with departmental procedures
• Process new customer applications, including credit review, in the ERP system
• Assist the Accounting Manager with daily AR reconciliations for e-commerce sales
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process for areas, as assigned
• Support overall department goals and objectives
• Focus on process improvements

Qualifications:

• 1+ years accounting experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree Business/Accounting/ Finance preferred
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• A proactive person who can multitask, think creatively, and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work extended hours during critical periods
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
