    Title:Residential Supervisor

    Responsible for: Residential Youth Counselors (in absence of Residential Manager)

     Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time

    Department: Dual Diagnosis Services (San Diego) or Specialized Residential Division (Oakland)

    Rate: $25-$35/hr

    The Residential Supervisor for the residential program works with the Residential Manager in monitoring residents within the residence as well as staff assigned to that residence. The Residential Supervisor is also responsible for assisting the Residential Manager with scheduling of staff, crisis intervention, training, interviewing applicants, reference checking, and participating in agency in-service trainings.

    Qualifications:

    Required

    1. B.A. Degree in a social science field or equivalent years’ experience working in residential setting with this or a similar population, OR two years’ full-time experience in a residential setting or working with the population served. Meet the minimum training and experience requirements of CA’s Division of Community CareLicensing.
    2. Demonstrated understanding of the developmental milestones of children or youthto provide care, treatment andservices.
    3. Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families andcommunities.
    4. Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicatorsof distress.
    5. Clean driving record; current CA Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 10days afterhire.
    6. Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use MicrosoftOffice Suite and/or competency with electronic clinical documentationsystems.

    Preferred

    1. B.A. Degree and workexperience.
    2. Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing,and discontinuing individualized behavioralinterventions.
    3. One (1) or more years’ experience with program target population preferred(Example: intellectually disabled, homeless, teens or young adults, emotionallydisturbed)
    4. One (1) or more years’ experience with program modality (example: school-based, residential, mobile/community-based,assertive communitytreatment, wraparound, etc.).
    5. Demonstrated ability to assess, triage and organizework.
    6. Demonstrated ability in using a strength-based, culturally competent approachto supervision, participant and communityservice.
    7. Experience with relevant evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches).
