    • Requirements : * Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship. * Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture. * 5+ years of Technical Engineer experience. * Licensed Professional Engineer. * Must have knowledge of healthcare design and understanding of fire codes, building codes, barrier-free codes, systems, components, cleaning and maintenance concepts, ergonomics, and safety criteria. * Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

    So, what will the General Engineer at ** Terrestris do?**

    The General Engineer provides comprehensive engineering planning, design, and project management support for complex construction and maintenance projects. It involves developing technical solutions, overseeing design and construction activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining safety, environmental, and data security standards while delivering efficient, cost-effective outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.

    What does a typical day look like for the Technical Engineer?

    You will:

    • Primarily performs Engineering Subject Matter Expert Consultation. Alternatively, Fire Protection Design Reviews are performed.
      • Engineering Subject Matter Expert Consultation – Technical support in skilled engineering disciplines to include access at a minimum Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Physical Security Specialist. While these skillsets are not required to be dedicated staff and therefore can be subcontracted, having said key personnel as well as other disciplines pertinent to NRM project delivery indicated in the proposal will be considered in source selection.
      • Third Party Independent Fire Protection Reviews - Design Reviews as per criteria indicated in VA Directive 7712.
      • Travel – Travel requirements in the form of trips will be utilized to bring remote assets to site to address specific requirements that are not reasonably addressed at a distance. Trips will be measured, assuming travel on Monday and Friday with site attendance for a full workday as informed by normal business hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

    What qualifications do you look for?

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Architecture.
    • 5+ years of Technical Engineer experience.
    • Licensed Professional Engineer.
    • Must have knowledge of healthcare design and understanding of fire codes, building codes, barrier-free codes, system, components, cleaning and maintenance concepts, ergonomics, and safety criteria.
    • Previous experience with the VA is a plus.

    If selected, candidates will need to complete credentialing and onboarding requirements consistent with VA medical staff processes.
