CBA Public Affairs Intern The Consumer Bankers Association seeks a public affairs intern to join our growing marketing and communications team. This position will report to CBA’s Vice President, Public Affairs, and will help support our efforts to champion the benefits of retail banking; amplify the important work of our members; deliver analysis, insights, and unique programs and products to our members; and drive forward advocacy campaigns in Washington, D.C., to help consumers and small businesses finance the American Dream. Responsibilities As a member of the marketing and communications team, the public affairs intern will be responsible for:Monitoring, compiling, and distributing policy and industry newsOrganizing and updating contact listsDrafting social media, press releases, and marketing copyAssisting in research projects to inform message development and communications strategy Qualifications Strong writer with an attention to detail and a passion for communicationsEager to take initiate and anticipate challengesAll hands-on-deck team mentality is essentialThe ideal candidate is a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate program Additional InformationThis internship is an unpaid position located in Washington, D.C.16 - 36 hours per week based on availabilityCBA currently operates on a hybrid schedule (Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office).About the Consumer Bankers Association The Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) is the only member-driven trade association focused exclusively on retail banking.
