    PAY RANGE- $90K-120K ANNUALLY 

    ConsumerDirect, Inc. is a SaaS company located in Irvine, CA. We build unique, patented technologies for the consumer money, credit, and identity spaces. The company was founded in 2003 with the vision that technology should allow consumers to interact with their banks, creditors and other institutions using a simple and interactive platform, and we’ve done just that!

    The Compliance Officer will be responsible for developing and directing the organization’s compliance program and risk management, ensuring that the ConsumerDirect and its partners are in compliance with all obligations as established by law, contractual agreement and agency policy.

    A successful candidate will be knowledgeable of consumer regulatory compliance requirements related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Privacy laws and Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices. The candidate will also be familiar with the consumer credit reporting industry and related consumer financial products and services

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop, implement, document and manage ConsumerDirect’s compliance programs
    • Conduct external audits of existing partnerships and their adherence to contract obligations
    • Monitor and identify any existing and new compliance issues that require investigation or a follow-up
    • Implemented risk assessment, monitoring/testing plans, and controls
    • Maintain the necessary documentation of compliance activities, including things like internal audits, investigation outcomes, complaints, and more
    • Develop company compliance communications
    • Coordinate and schedule required compliance training for employees
    • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, new laws and industry best practices.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business management, or a related field.
    • 3+ years proven experience in a compliance officer or manager role

    KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures
    • Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Paralegal and/or contract administration experience highly desired
