POSITION SUMMARY:
The Content & Communications Coordinator is a dynamic storyteller who combines creativity with data-driven insights to elevate the greater:SATX brand. This role thrives in a fast-paced environment, producing a high volume of impactful content that shapes the region’s narrative, amplifies our organization’s work, and engages diverse stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and analytical thinker who leverages metrics to refine messaging and optimize performance across multiple channels.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal & External Communications
- Create compelling corporate communications for internal and external audiences including daily and monthly newsletters, marketing campaigns, executive speaking engagements and thought leadership pieces that amplify the organization’s mission, impact, and voice.
- Translate complex information and data into clear, engaging, high-visibility narratives that resonate with business leaders, partners and the public.
- Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to craft organizational and regional key messages for a variety of audiences, including business leaders, partners, and the public.
- Support regional and national media relations efforts, including drafting press releases, op-eds, and talking points in collaboration with leadership and subject matter experts.
- Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to enhance the organization’s visibility and thought leadership.
- Identify and coordinate speaking opportunities for greater:SATX leadership and key team members.
- Maintain an editorial calendar and ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals.
- Operate effectively in a high-output, deadline-driven environment, producing multiple content types simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy or clarity.
- Interpret and synthesize data, research, and technical inputs provided by internal teams into narratives that are defensible and audience-appropriate.
- Apply editorial judgment to determine what information matters most, how it should be framed, and where it should be deployed for maximum impact.
- Ensure messaging is consistent, fact-based, and aligned across internal, external, and executive communications.
- Use segmentation and reporting insights to inform future content planning and delivery strategies.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in digital marketing, corporate communications, and social media management.
- Excellent writing and editing ability, transforming complex information into clear, engaging stories for multiple audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and delivery high-quality content under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, leading projects that intersect multiple teams, both internal and external.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and email marketing tools.
- Ability to work across teams, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Graphic design and video editing skills are a plus.
- Writing samples of blogs, newsletter articles and social media posts preferred.
Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: Proven experience working in a high-volume, technically informed marketing or communications environment (e.g., agency, B2B marketing, consulting, research-adjacent, public affairs, or similar), where translating complex or data-heavy inputs into clear narrative was a core responsibility

Work Environment:
This is a flexible work environment which includes both in-office attendance and the ability to work from home as business needs allow. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, and multi-functioning printer. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours work/travel may be required.
