Overview

The Seth Moulton for U.S. Senate Campaign is seeking a talented, highly motivated Content Creator with first and foremost, strong videography and editing skills who loves storytelling and social media. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career creative looking to build a portfolio and gain hands-on experience on a competitive statewide campaign.

The Content Creator will help ensure the objectives and achievements of Congressman Seth Moulton's U.S. Senate campaign are communicated clearly and effectively to the media and public. This individual will assist in translating complex policy and campaign priorities into compelling, accessible content across print, digital, and social media platforms, working closely with the Digital and Communications Directors as part of a fast-paced campaign team.

Role Responsibilities

• Videography: Film campaign events, field activities, and b-roll, and help organize and maintain an archive of video and photo assets for ongoing campaign use. This is the most important requirement for the role.

• Content Creation: Shoot and edit short-form social media content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter, design eye-catching infographics, and assist with rapid-response digital content related to campaign news and events.

• Social Media: Collaborate on the planning, creation, and posting of social media content. Assist with day-to-day management of the campaign's Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other digital channels, including monitoring social trends and helping translate them into the campaign's authentic voice.

• Additional Duties: Work closely with the Digital and Communications Directors to determine the most effective ways to communicate the Congressman's campaign work, assist with on-the-ground event coverage, and support other communications duties as assigned.

Role Requirements

• Professional, modern videography skills (could be from experience in social media, documentary filming, live music, event coverage, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in content creation, videography, and video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Ability to share a portfolio, reel, or examples of previous work.
• Familiarity with current events and political issues.
• Familiarity with and connections to Massachusetts are strongly preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and digital communications tools.
• Graphic design experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends and travel locally within Massachusetts as needed.
