Contents & Cleaning Technician
Position Overview
The Contents Technician is responsible for assisting with the packing, inventory, cleaning, storage, and unpacking of customers’ personal property following water, fire, smoke, or other property damage. This position also performs structural and contents cleaning at customer properties according to the approved scope of work and direction from management.
Work hours may vary from part-time to full-time depending on workload and business needs. Full-time status and hours may become available as business needs and workload allow; however, full-time hours are not guaranteed. A minimum number of hours may be discussed at the time of an employment offer.
Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, generally between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. However, restoration work is schedule-driven, and employees must be flexible. Overtime may be required, and some shifts may exceed 12 hours depending on job demands.
Employees will also participate in a quarterly on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response.

Qualifications & Requirements
Cleaning, moving, packing, or restoration experience preferred, but not required
Customer service experience preferred
Ability to use an iPad and/or iPhone and operate job-related applications
Ability to learn and effectively use company software and mobile applications
Ability to learn, operate, and maintain ultrasonic cleaning equipment and other cleaning equipment
Must maintain a satisfactory and insurable driving record
May be required to use a personal vehicle to travel to and from job sites when necessary
Must be able to successfully complete required background screenings in accordance with applicable program guidelines
Duties & Responsibilities
Pack, wrap, label, inventory, and prepare customers’ personal property for onsite or offsite storage
Assemble and accurately label contents boxes and maintain organized inventory records using company inventory software
Assist with pack-outs, pack-backs, loading, unloading, and movement of customers’ contents
Clean customers’ homes, structures, and personal property according to the approved scope of work and management direction
Perform contents cleaning using various methods, including hand cleaning, ultrasonic cleaning, and other specialized cleaning equipment
Handle customers’ belongings carefully and professionally throughout the restoration process
Provide exceptional customer service and promptly report concerns, damages, discrepancies, or other issues to management
Safely operate company vehicles and equipment
Work in environments that may contain unpleasant odors, including smoke, pet, food, and other odors associated with property damage
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Perform additional duties as assigned based on business and operational needs
