CAD DESIGNER

This position will be responsible for a broad range of 3D and 2D design and modelling in a variety of solar development projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop preliminary civil/structural/mechanical layouts with direction from Conti team
• Develop preliminary PV layouts with direction from solar engineers
• Work with Existing CS Energy Standards
• Work with and interpret Client's Standards
• Create preliminary drawing packages from existing templates
• Create blocks/symbols for east insertion into CAD files
• Manage layers, xrefs, and line weights
• Update permit and construction drawings based on design changes
• Update as-built and red-line drawings
• Modify surveyor, subcontractor and vendor shop drawings for use in CS Energy drawings

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree, Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in CAD
• Excellent teamwork, communication and people skills a must.
• Excellent skills in displaying attention to detail
• Has a solid time management system and demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Power point
• Proficient in modeling software as well as AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact and multitask with multiple project team members
