    Job Description

     

    General Position Summary

    This position is responsible for verifying, preparing and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment by performing the following duties.   

    Looking for someone who has experience with JDEdwards Enterprise software.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.

    ·     Develops profitable purchasing strategies.

    ·     Assesses supplier profiles and analyze offers.

    ·     Prepares and implements effective negotiation tactics.

    ·     Manages business relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts.

    ·     Analyzes and resolves purchasing issues / discrepancies.

    ·     Reviews supplies to ensure quality

    ·     Monitors stock levels.

    ·     Prepares and submits detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.).

    ·     Keeps updated records.

    ·     Report KPI (Key Performance Indicator) data as requested by Purchasing Director to assess, analyze and track vendor performance.

    ·     Participates in cost reduction activities, observes and reports price increases.

    ·     Researches a variety of sources, documents, etc. to ensure adequacy of specification in terms of clarity, precision, and related criteria.

    ·     Attends events, fairs and exhibitions to  of the stay current with market trends.

    ·     Builds and develops long-term business relationships with local suppliers.

    ·     Attends weekly/monthly operations’s meetings.

    Other & Miscellaneous

    ·       Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expensive ways and means in work processes.

    ·       Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management.

    ·       Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.

    ·       Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution.

    ·       Maintains good communication with other Continental Datalabel staff & outside contacts.

    ·       Complies with all company policies and procedures.

    ·       Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.

    ·       Maintains high ethical standards in the work place.
