    Job Description

    The Continuous Improvement Manager will provide leadership, coaching, support, and project management skills to the organization to support the company’s lean transformation. This position will identify areas of potential improvement and work with company leaders to realize improvements by using various Kaizen tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Transactional Process Improvement, 6S, Daily Management, Standard Work, and Problem- Solving Process.

    This position supports the Sourcing, Materials, and Logistics teams in addition to Component Supply facilities and will ensure that all improvements implemented are aligned with the MasterBrand Business System lexicon and code.

    This position is remote with regular on‑site work at our plants in North Carolina and Indiana. Preference will be given to candidates who reside within driving distance of these facilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for successfully deploying sustainable standards and lean tools throughout organization.
    • Help to establish an organizational culture of Continuous Improvement by acting as a coach and mentor to all levels of the organization.
    • Through the use of Value Stream Mapping and following the Kaizen framework, identify processes and eliminate the 8 types of waste within the organization that can achieve a significant gain.
    • Continually challenge conventional thinking by challenging current processes and procedures in the spirit of continuous improvement.
    • Model what it means to be a change agent within the organization.
    • Work with organizational Leaders to build Kaizen funnel and opportunities for improvement.
    • Facilitate Kaizen Events and coach team members through Kaizen preparation and post-Kaizen action implementation and sustainment.
    • Work closely with the Sourcing, Materials, Logistics and Component Supply teams to identify and deploy meaningful KPI’s.
    • Provide ongoing education to the organization in the areas of Continuous Improvement by coordinating and facilitating trainings and building relationships through individual discussions.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
    • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role and demonstrated track record of implementation success
    • Experience in Sourcing, Materials, Logistics, or manufacturing preferred
    • Lean Certified or equivalent experience with Toyota Production System or company with similar system is a plus
    • Ability to deliver training to large groups – experience preferred
    • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) required
    • Excellent analytical, project management and presentation skills
    • Experience with change management principles and demonstrated ability to drive and manage the change process
    • Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 30%
