They focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare systems through various solutions, including electronic health record (EHR) support, IT staffing, and consulting services.
Position Summary
• The Commitment Analyst manages the highly complex process of aligning HealthTrust members to appropriate contract tiers.
• The Commitment Analyst also provides guidance to HealthTrust Sourcing personnel and HealthTrust Supplier personnel to ensure the tier structure can be effectively operationalized.
• Examples of operational considerations include ensuring the tier structure meets technology system requirements and can be managed down-stream by the HealthTrust member or in HealthTrust analytical platforms.
• The Commitment Analyst must also collaborate regularly with members and suppliers and take lead in directly resolving or escalating resolution to issues that arise.
• Examples of issues that may arise include but are not limited to: Suppliers disputing the qualification of member’s access to the tier, the supplier’s timeliness in approving the tier election.
• Effectively managing this highly complex process is critical to the HealthTrust business for many reasons, a few of which are:
• Ensuring correct pricing on POs and Invoices because inaccurate price alignment causes price discrepancies (negative financial impact on members) and operational impact (valuable time and resources expended on resolving / managing discrepancies).
• Ensuring members are able to extract the best value of the HealthTrust contract (receiving the tier for which they qualify)
• Ensuring supplier performance meets expectations (timely tier approval)
Responsibilities
• Must be able to interpret contract terms and business intentions to ensure contract tiers can be operationalized by the member and by HealthTrust. This often requires aligning internal and external stakeholders with differing opinions/views. This process may at times be controversial and requires excellent communication and conflict management skills.
• Ensure the final LOC (letter of commitment) is accurate per the legal agreement
• Creates, maintains and publishes negotiated letters of commitment (LOCs) for all GPO National agreements & Member-specific Custom agreements. Including all business segments (Med/Surg, Lab, Pharmacy, Medical Devices, Purchased Services, Commercial Products & Services, etc.
• Ensure LOC visibility complies with the contract class of trade, facility type and department standards
• Manage commitment system trouble-shooting
• Perform complex analysis related to member group or company reorganizations and identify impact. Provide guidance on required actions for members and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with the Communications team on final LOC details and timing for publishing LOCs
• Develop and maintain legal templates for LOCs
• Train users (members, suppliers and internal employees) on the commitment system and commitment process. Including development of training scripts and tool tips. Serves as subject matter expert to
• Onboard new suppliers to the Commitment system and preparing them for LOC launch. Primary Subject Matter Expert for suppliers.
• Manage member or supplier complaints and resolving LOC disputes. Including when necessary the escalation process. For example: late supplier responses or disputes on the member’s tier qualification
• Support the AdvantageTrust business by publishing exception LOCs for the non-acute market.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of the HealthTrust contract portfolio
• Partner with all applicable teams and departments to actively contribute to team performance in meeting department and organizational strategic vision and goals
• Actively engage with the HealthTrust technology team:
• In system development (Commitment, CLM, PEM, Analytics)
• In requirements planning and enhancement prioritization
• In technical issues and problem resolution-often requiring creative solutions or work-arounds
• In clarifying issues and root cause determination
• In user acceptance testing for system releases to ensure new functionality performs as excepted and assesses and validates impact to existing functionality.
