Contract Cloud Data Engineer

MUST be local to Iselin, NJ, Hybrid Schedule 

Core Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading.
• Develop and deploy Spark/PySpark programs and Databricks jobs for big data workloads.
• Write robust Python and SQL code; perform code reviews and troubleshoot pipeline bottlenecks.
• Implement best practices for data management, security, and governance within Databricks.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Tech Stack: Python/PySpark, Databricks Azure, Snowflake, Delta Tables, SQL.
• Experience: 5+ years in Python, SQL Server/large datasets, and Databricks/PySpark ETL development.
• Architecture: Cloud-based data architectures, messaging, streaming, and enterprise analytics platforms.
• Nice-to-Haves: Cloud certification(s), Apache Airflow experience, and cloud migration background.
• Education: BA in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline.
