We are looking for a seasoned family law attorney to join us on an ongoing contract basis, working remotely with court appearances and occasional visits to our Fayetteville office. Compensation $120 - $150/hour, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities: • • Represent clients in family law cases, ensuring their rights and interests are protected. • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and client advice. • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and agreements. • Participate in court hearings and mediations, advocating effectively for clients' positions. • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and develop case plans. • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, keeping them informed of case progress. • Work closely with our team to ensure seamless case management and client satisfaction. Qualifications: • • At least 5 years experience in family law, with a focus on representing clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials. • Ability to independently manage cases from intake through resolution, ensuring all client needs are met. • Proven track record of drafting, editing, and reviewing legal documents such as pleadings, settlement agreements, and parenting plans. • Strong skills in conducting discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. • Ability to prepare and argue motions effectively, demonstrating strong legal research skills to support case strategy. • Experience in counseling clients on their options and helping them choose the best course of action. • Proven ability to negotiate settlements and represent clients in mediation with professionalism and empathy for client needs and outcomes.
