Our law firm has a contract attorney position available now, and we’re looking for the right professional. You’ll be responsible for performing legal research, editing and reviewing final drafts, providing legal counse,l and handling court appearances. Responsibilities: • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action • Learn and follow firm policies and procedures • Representing clients in court appearances Qualifications: • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients • Candidates must have passed the bar exam • Must have a State of Georgia bar license in good standing • At least 2 years of family law experience required • Ability to work through a case from open to close • Strives for excellence • Ability to be empathetic, compassionate, but tenacious Compensation: $70 - $100 per hour
