We are seeking a Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services under the Texas Home and Community-based Services (HCS) Medicaid Waiver Program. This role is PRN and offers a flexible schedule, making it a great opportunity to supplement your current workload. **

Position Overview**
The Occupational Therapist will provide evaluation and treatment services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) enrolled in the HCS program. Services are delivered in home and community settings and focus on improving independence in daily living skills, enhancing functional abilities, and supporting overall quality of life in accordance with HHSC and HCS waiver requirements. **
Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Identify and address client goals related to daily living, sensory, and functional skills
- Provide skilled OT services in home and community-based settings
- Implement evidence-based interventions to improve independence and participation
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team (IDT) members, caregivers, and family members
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with HHSC, Medicaid, and HCS guidelines
- Participate in IDT meetings as required

Minimum Qualifications**
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Texas
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy practices and person-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in home and community settings
- Professional and ethical conduct
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing services within the Texas HCS or other Medicaid waiver programs
- Familiarity with HHSC documentation and compliance requirements
Additional Requirements
- Ability to manage clients with diverse needs and personalities
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
- Ability to manage a flexible, referral-based caseload
- Must pass all required background and credentialing checks **
