Contract Paralegal – PERM and H-1B
Immigration law firm is seeking multiple experienced Paralegals s for a 3 to 6 month contract supporting a large corporate client. This is a hybrid opportunity with interviews starting immediately; onboarding will begin before or around September.
What You'll Do
- You’ll play a key role in preparing and managing casework for employment-based immigration matters.
- Prepare, draft, and file H-1B petitions, including gathering and organizing supporting documentation and ensuring compliance with USCIS and DOL regulations.
- Manage the full PERM process: drafting job descriptions, placing and tracking advertisements, preparing recruitment reports, and filing ETA 9089 applications through DOL’s FLAG system.
- Coordinate with clients and employers to collect employee information, job details, and supporting evidence for H-1B and PERM filings.
- Draft forms, support letters, and petition exhibits; review documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Track case deadlines and maintain case management systems to ensure timely filings.
- Liaise with government agencies (USCIS, DOL) and respond to audit requests, RFEs, and other case-specific inquiries.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide case updates, manage expectations, and gather additional documentation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with immigration regulations and firm procedures while supporting attorneys in high-volume business immigration practices.
Who You Are
- 2–4 years of employment-based immigration paralegal experience
- Strong writing, organizational, and project management skills
- Experienced with immigration case management tools (e.g., INSZoom, VisaTrax, LawLogix)
- Effective communicator with a commitment to accuracy and client service
- Able to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments
