    We’re seeking a contract Quality Engineer to ensure production excellence, supplier quality, and long-term customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex technical challenges, improving processes, and influencing quality at every stage of product development. While this role is initially contract position, there is an opportunity for it to become permanent.


    Key Responsibilities

    Product Development & Change
    • Integrate Design for Quality principles into new product introductions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are reflected in design and documentation.
    • Participate in Change Review Boards and Configuration Management activities.
    • Conduct PFMEA to proactively identify and mitigate process risks.

    Production Quality
    • Lead in-process and final inspection processes to maintain consistent product standards.
    • Perform root cause analyses and drive CAPA initiatives to reduce non-conformities.
    • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and validate work instructions for accuracy.
    • Standardize and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

    Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
    • Promote quality principles across the entire product lifecycle.
    • Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to drive measurable improvements.
    • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to advance overall product quality.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
    • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing (commercial or military).
    • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies (8D, 5 Why’s, Six Sigma, DFMEA, PFMEA, FAI).
    • Experience with root cause analysis, product development processes, and configuration management.
    • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP systems, CAD, or Power BI preferred.
