    Job Description

    Title: Contract Recruiter, General & Administrative (G&A)
    Mission: Build reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial.
    Why this role exists: Hire the people across Finance, People, and Legal who shape how our client operates and scales.
    Engagement Details

    • Contract type: Independent contractor / contract-to-hire (based on business needs)
    • Duration: 6 months (potential extend/convert)
    • Hours: Full-time (~40 hours/week)
    • Fully Remote. Can live anywhere in the US

    Primary responsibilities:

    • Full-cycle recruiting for G&A roles across:
      • Finance
      • People/HR
      • Legal
    • Build recruiting plans per function and per role
    • Review inbound + targeted outbound sourcing
    • Own stakeholder partnership with G&A leaders
    • Deliver high-quality candidate experience end-to-end
    • Track metrics, identify bottlenecks, optimize process, maintain high bar
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Ideal Candidate Profile Core background:

    • 5+ years full-cycle recruiting experience
    • Meaningful exposure recruiting for G&A functions: Finance, People/HR, Legal, Ops

    Situational strengths

    • Has worked as a contract/embedded recruiter and ramps quickly
    • Operates well with ambiguity - helps create structure and repeatable practices
    • Strong stakeholder management - can describe frameworks built to drive hiring
    • Highly organized - consistent touchpoints, clean systems, data integrity
    • Comfortable with recruiting analytics - connects metrics to funnel health and experience

    Must-haves

    • Full-cycle recruiting ownership (intake to close)
    • Direct G&A hiring exposure (Finance and/or People and/or Legal)
    • Strong hiring manager partnership in fast-moving environments
    • Proven outbound sourcing (not only inbound processing)
    • Data fluency (pipeline health, conversion, speed, bottlenecks)

    Nice-to-haves

    • Prior experience supporting high-growth startups
    • Contract-to-hire experience and comfort with “land and expand”
    • Experience recruiting in highly mission-driven environments (policy/safety adjacent is a plus)
