Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree, 48 college credits, or Para Certification preferred
Two years of experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred
Ability to assist with instructional activities and behavior management plans
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting students with diverse needs
Job Duties:
Provide direct support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher
Assist with classroom organization, instruction, and lesson preparation
Support students during academic and social activities, both in and outside the classroom
Reinforce learning objectives through individualized or small-group instruction
Help implement behavior management plans and classroom strategies
Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to promote a cohesive learning environment
Adapt to the needs of the classroom and maintain a supportive, encouraging attitude at all times
