Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree, 48 college credits, or Para Certification preferred

• Two years of experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred

• Ability to assist with instructional activities and behavior management plans

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Commitment to fostering inclusion and supporting students with diverse needs

Job Duties:

• Provide direct support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher

• Assist with classroom organization, instruction, and lesson preparation

• Support students during academic and social activities, both in and outside the classroom

• Reinforce learning objectives through individualized or small-group instruction

• Help implement behavior management plans and classroom strategies

• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to promote a cohesive learning environment

• Adapt to the needs of the classroom and maintain a supportive, encouraging attitude at all times
