    DESCRIPTION: CRG is seeking a Visa Analyst to support our client with the Office of the Assistant Legal Adviser for Consular Affairs. The ideal candidate will possess a Top-Secret Clearance. The Visa Analyst provides support to the Government staff by reviewing the status of litigation over visa applications, then preparing letters, reports, and specialized correspondence to the Government staff to assist them in the resolution of those cases.

    DUTIES INCLUDE:

    • Work closely with the Department of Justice to assist in the analysis and resolution of issues regarding visa-related litigation cases.
    • Checking the status of visa-related litigation cases  by reviewing the complaint in question and identifying what the likely outcome of the case may be and communicating  with the Consular offices abroad.
    • Coordinate clearances and conduct research on visa-related litigation cases by gathering information from a variety of sources, including but not limited to applications, supporting documents, the internet, telephone calls, and government, commercial, and opensource databases. Write recommended findings in a clear and concise manner that summarizes the information gathered and identified during research.
    • Support a team of up to 15 lawyers, with a focus on assisting with intake of new visa-related litigation cases
    • Interpret complex laws and regulations.
    • Comprehend and communicate the security requirements for a visa in a professional and courteous manner over the telephone or in written communication.

    LOCATION: Hybrid

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Department of State experience preferred, but not required.
    • A legal background (such as work as a paralegal) is preferred, but not required.
    • Visa Operations experience is preferred, but not required.
    • Experience searching and working within the Consular Consolidated Database (CCD) preferred, but not required.
    • Able to interpret complex laws and regulations, including the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and the Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Political Science, or another related field.
    • Top Secret Clearance.
    • Expert in Microsoft Office programs (Proficient in MS Excel).
    • Very strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications skills.
    • Possesses excellent analytical skills and a great attention to detail.
    • Able to use independent initiative, good judgment, and decision-making skills when setting priorities.
    • A self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
