    Summary:

    The Contractor Special Security Officer will be responsible for a range of duties that go beyond traditional security management. This role is a key part of our mission, touching on security compliance, facilities management, workforce engagement, and brand representation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage National Security Compliance: Oversee compliance with government agency requirements, security protocols, and customer-specific clearance processes.
    • Classified Program Security: Oversee security for classified government contract programs, including daily operations, self-inspections, and non-compliance mitigation.
    • Security Incident Reporting & Investigation: Investigate, report, and respond to security violations and incidents per government directives.
    • Security Education & Training: Coordinate and conduct security training for employees, ensuring compliance with NISPOM and customer requirements.
    • Personnel Security Administration: Manage personnel security clearance processes, reinvestigations, and related records through DISS/NISS and other systems.
    • COMSEC Management: Oversee COMSEC operations, including secure equipment inventories, inspections, training, and compliance enforcement.
    • Audit & Assessment Preparation: Prepare the facility for annual audits, vulnerability assessments, and government security inspections.
    • Access Control & Security Systems: Provide guidance on access control policies, system operations, and the issuing of security badges.
    • Compliance Monitoring: Maintain ongoing monitoring of facility security compliance, including NISPOM, ICDs, and related policies.
    • External Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain relationships with DoD, DCSA, FSO/CSSO counterparts, and other security stakeholders.
    • Security Documentation & Records: Manage security documentation, including FCL profiles, DD254s, and personnel security records in compliance with USG and company policies.
    • Security Incident Mitigation: Implement policies to reduce security risks, respond to breaches, and apply corrective actions.
    • Special Access Program (SAP) Support: Assist with processing Special Access for cleared personnel and handling classified/COMSEC materials.
    • Facilities Management: Manage a security program and ensure compliance with NISPOM, ICDs, and facility security operations. This includes overseeing all aspects of operations, such as access control, classified visits, document control, and incident reporting. Manage overall facilities operations, including overseeing ordering, material/equipment refresh and managing service providers.
    • Workforce Engagement: Actively engage with your teammates and serve as a resource for their security-related needs, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. Encourage overall productivity, a sense of community and team building.
    • Brand Representative: You will act as a brand representative for LufCo, building and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders, including vendors and government partners.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelors degree in a relevant field.
    • Must be a COMSEC Custodian.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of relevant, progressive experience.

    Skills:

    • Experience with SCIF operation, DISS, NISS, NBIS, eAPP, and eCPRL.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to travel as required.
    • Standard office environment with occasional requirements to visit client sites, labs, or field environments.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $75,000 to $120,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
