A growing construction & infrastructure company is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join their team in NYC or Yonkers. In this role you'll manage contract lifecycles for large, phased, multi-million dollar projects, ensuring contracts are drafted, maintained, compliant, and delivered on time, while helping drive process improvements.
What You'll Do as the Contracts Administrator
- Draft, distribute, and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers across all project phases
- Track and process contract changes, ensuring compliance with project specifications and internal policies
- Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to close out pending contracts and ensure required insurance or documentation is obtained
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date logs (contracts, change orders, insurance, etc.) and verify all documents are correctly executed
- Monitor deadlines for deliverables and compliance, flagging issues when needed
- Organize, store, and enforce documentation per departmental/project procedures
Must Haves as the Contracts Administrator
- Minimum 2 years' experience in contract administration, working on complex, multiphase, multi-million dollar projects or similarly sized engagements
- Good understanding of contract structures, industry terminology, and standard processes in construction, infrastructure, or similar sectors
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use templates or contract management tools
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and external stakeholders
Nice to Haves
- Experience using contract management software or document control systems
- Familiarity with change orders, subcontractor insurance/risk management, and supplier/vendor performance tracking
- Exposure to design build, public sector contracting, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Basic understanding of procurement or purchasing workflows
