  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking to hire a temporary Contracts Associate and Assistant Clerk who is diligent, team-oriented, organized, and eager to learn to serve on the legal team for a clean energy provider This person will serve as a member of the Legal Team supporting commercial contracting, risk management, and coordinating board activities with the Clerk of the Board.

    This will be a paid full time position, 5 days per week (40 hours), Monday through Friday and will ideally start in February 2026 and last through December 2026 with the possibility of converting to a permanent hire.

    Hybrid: Work-from-home Monday and Fridays, in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

    :Responsibilities

    Clerking duties:

    • Regularly clerk subcommittee meetings

    • Clerk Board meetings as needed.

    • General administrative support

    Contract management:

    • Input and/or correct metadata in the contract management system.

    • Administer small to medium procurement transactions:

      • Some contract negotiations with the support of a playbook

      • Support staff in the purchase of goods and services by administering transactions and facilitating their completion.

    • Review Amendments on external templates, and coordinate legal review, tracking and managing that process through execution.

    • Attending various meetings as needed (e.g. Board Meetings)

    • Adhere to agency policies and procedures

    • Other duties as required

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience; or Associate’s degree with 2-3 years of work experience; or high school degree or equivalent with at least 3-4 years of work experience.

    • Experience in Legal, Business Administration, or a related discipline

    • Relevant experience includes: commercial insurance, public-sector clerking, contract management or similar

    • Working knowledge of basic software programs, including Microsoft Office, Excel or Google Sheets for data management and analysis

    • Experience with a contract management system, such as Ironclad

    • Strong organizational, communication and critical thinking skills

    • Strong interpersonal skills
