We are seeking to hire a temporary Contracts Associate and Assistant Clerk who is diligent, team-oriented, organized, and eager to learn to serve on the legal team for a clean energy provider This person will serve as a member of the Legal Team supporting commercial contracting, risk management, and coordinating board activities with the Clerk of the Board.
This will be a paid full time position, 5 days per week (40 hours), Monday through Friday and will ideally start in February 2026 and last through December 2026 with the possibility of converting to a permanent hire.
Hybrid: Work-from-home Monday and Fridays, in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
:Responsibilities
Clerking duties:
Regularly clerk subcommittee meetings
Clerk Board meetings as needed.
General administrative support
Contract management:
Input and/or correct metadata in the contract management system.
Administer small to medium procurement transactions:
Some contract negotiations with the support of a playbook
Support staff in the purchase of goods and services by administering transactions and facilitating their completion.
Review Amendments on external templates, and coordinate legal review, tracking and managing that process through execution.
Attending various meetings as needed (e.g. Board Meetings)
Adhere to agency policies and procedures
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of relevant work experience; or Associate’s degree with 2-3 years of work experience; or high school degree or equivalent with at least 3-4 years of work experience.
Experience in Legal, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Relevant experience includes: commercial insurance, public-sector clerking, contract management or similar
Working knowledge of basic software programs, including Microsoft Office, Excel or Google Sheets for data management and analysis
Experience with a contract management system, such as Ironclad
Strong organizational, communication and critical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal skills
