We are seeking to hire a temporary Contracts Manager who is diligent, team-oriented, organized, and eager to learn to support a variety of compliance filings and reporting obligations including contract management. You will be the principal coordinator of various contracts and responsible for working with staff, the Legal Director, outside counsel, and third-party vendors to facilitate the execution and management of contracts. This role will collaborate across departments on contract administration and compliance.
This will be a paid full time position, 5 days per week (40 hours), Monday through Friday and will ideally start in February 2026 and last through December 2026 with the possibility of converting to a permanent hire.
Hybrid: Work-from-home Monday and Fridays, in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
Respond to Public Records Act requests
Coordinate with outside counsel to facilitate purchase transactions and non-disclosure agreements
Draft and refine statements of work
Apply playbook guidelines for contract negotiations
Maintain metadata for agreements in Ironclad
Track legal spend against budgets and liaise with Finance
Initiate, archive, and share Exhibits to NDAs with external partners as needed
Archive Exhibits initiated by HR in Ironclad
NCPA Exhibit A’s (staff if needed after onboarding) & B’s (vendors if needed)
Share all executed Exhibits with NCPA for their records (unless we’ve automated this in the workflow)
Board Meeting Material Preparation
Enter Contracts Into CMS
Review Board Items prepared by Staff that ask the Board to approve an Action (pertaining to Contracts, Policies, and others)
Adhere to agency policies and procedures
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
3-5 years of professional work experience
Experience coordinating the negotiation and execution of contracts
Experience working with a government agency or county is nice to have
Familiarity with commercial contracts and terms
Ability to work effectively with limited supervision
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Strong analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills
