Control Account Manager
Location: Aiken, SC (Savannah River Site) – Onsite
Department: Project Controls / Construction Operations
Reports To: VP, Project Controls
Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 base salary + monthly per diem
Position Overview
The ontrol Account Manager (CAM) is responsible for managing scope, schedule, and cost performance for assigned control accounts supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure projects at a federal nuclear site. This role ensures work is planned, authorized, and executed in alignment with project baselines and federal program management standards. The CAM works cross-functionally with project management, engineering, construction, and project controls teams to monitor performance, manage budgets, and ensure accurate reporting of cost and schedule metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned control accounts, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget align with approved project baselines
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, construction, and project controls teams
- Monitor performance using earned value management, cost tracking, and schedule analysis
- Develop forecasts, variance analysis, and corrective action plans
- Support development of WBS, control account plans, and baseline schedules
- Prepare and deliver cost, schedule, and performance reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal project control standards and requirements
- Support change management including scope, schedule, and baseline updates
- Identify project risks and support mitigation planning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, or construction project management
- Experience with earned value management (EVM) and cost performance tracking
- Strong understanding of scheduling, cost control, and forecasting
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain and maintain site access credentials and pass all required background and security requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or highly regulated projects (DOE, nuclear, energy, infrastructure)
- Familiarity with EVMS and federal reporting requirements
- Experience with ANSI/EIA-748 compliant systems
- Experience at major DOE sites
- Experience with tools such as Primavera P6, Deltek Cobra, or similar
Certifications (Preferred)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Earned Value Management Professional (EVMP)
- Certified Cost Professional (CCP)
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May provide functional oversight to schedulers, cost analysts, and project controls team members
Travel
- Up to 30% travel with overnight requirements
Per Diem Structure
This role includes a standard monthly per diem provided to all employees on the project:
- Fiscal Year 2026: $3,461.11 per month
- Fiscal Year 2027: $5,162.00 per month
- Fiscal Year 2028: $3,658.89 per month
Work Environment
- Onsite at a government nuclear site with required adherence to all safety protocols and PPE
