We’re looking for a hands-on, tech-savvy CPA with the skills to strengthen our accounting foundation, lead us to GAAP compliance, and help shape our financial systems for the future.
The Opportunity
This is more than a traditional Controller role. You’ll own accounting operations while also driving system upgrades, automation, and strategic process improvements. You’ll be key in preparing our business for the next stage of growth, and will work directly with leadership to prepare for an audit-ready, enterprise-level finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting operations: month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP.
Oversee AP/AR, payroll, treasury, and cash management.
Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets.
Drive process automation to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability.
Manage and optimize QuickBooks (QBT) environment, while planning for a future ERP transition.
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
Lead efforts to prepare for external audits and move the company to audited financials.
Mentor finance staff and foster a high-performance, tech-forward culture.
What We’re Looking For
CPA required; Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience strongly preferred.
Experience guiding companies from mid-sized to enterprise-level operations.
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing industry background preferred.
Strong technical skills:
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex modeling)
Preferred SQL and Python knowledge for financial analysis/reporting
QuickBooks power user, with experience migrating to ERP systems
Proven success implementing automation in accounting/finance workflows.
Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable with both manual work and high-level strategy.
Experience with audits and preparing companies for GAAP compliance.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally.
