Controller / Accounting Manager Wolfert's Roost Country Club
We are seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee the financial operations of our private golf and country club. This position reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for managing the club’s accounting, payroll, and financial reporting functions.
Our club has approximately 335 members and a seasonal workforce ranging from 65 to 135 employees.
Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger and monthly financial statements
Manage accounts payable and vendor payments
Process member billing and accounts receivable (dues)
Administer payroll for seasonal and full-time employees.
Assist with HR administration and employee records.
Perform bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
Prepare financial reports for management.
Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
Work collaboratively with the outsourced CFO on all accounting matters.
Assist with implementing Jonas Club Management Software.
This is a member-facing role that requires customer service interaction.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
5+ years accounting experience
Experience with payroll and HR administration
Strong knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting
Private club, hospitality, or golf industry experience preferred
Experience with Jonas, Club Essentials, or similar club software a plus
Experience in a member or client facing role
Compensation
Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000 annually

This is an on-site role in a collaborative private club environment supporting members, staff, and management.
