What You’ll Do:
Lead Financial Reporting & Analysis – Own the compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections that drive corporate planning and transparency.
Own the Close – Perform monthly closing activities, manufacturing variance analysis, and detailed account reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financials.
Drive Profitability & Cost Insight – Lead standard costing, quoting, and profitability analysis to support data-driven pricing and production decisions.
Oversee Cash Management – Manage all aspects of AP, AR, payroll, banking, and cash forecasting—including creation of a 13-week cash flow model.
Strengthen Financial Controls – Develop and enforce internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures that align with best practices and regulatory compliance.
Guide the Business Strategically – Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, procurement, commercial support, and long-term planning, contributing financial expertise to strategic decisions.
Be a Key Communicator – Prepare and present reports for board meetings, employee updates, auditors, and banks—translating complex financial data into meaningful insight.
Lead and Mentor Your Team – Supervise, train, and motivate a two-person accounting staff while owning the performance of all accounting functions.
Champion ERP Evolution – Lead or support ERP implementation efforts (Epicor/Sage experience a plus) to modernize and streamline financial operations.
Ensure Compliance & Accuracy – Oversee tax return preparation, payroll review, rebate programs, and all financial audits while maintaining full general ledger ownership.
Contribute to setting future business goals and direction as part of the management team
Uphold and embody company policies, procedures, and ethical standards
Develop and present annual business plans aligned with revenue targets
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 5 years in a Controller or CFO role
5+ years in a manufacturing environment, ideally fast-paced and performance-driven
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong grasp of GAAP, federal and state tax regulations, and internal controls
ERP implementation experience (Epicor or Sage strongly preferred)
Expert-level Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets and reporting tools
Proven experience in inventory control, standard costing, cash management, and financial leadership
Outstanding communication skills—able to translate complex financials into actionable business language
