    Location: On-Site in Davis, CA (Greater Sacramento)
    Salary Range:
    $130,000 – $160,000

    We’re continuing our search for a qualified AEC industry Controller to join a respected architecture firm in Davis, CA.

    About the Role
    The Controller oversees day-to-day accounting operations and provides financial clarity for the firm’s leadership team. This is a senior, hands-on position that blends strategic reporting with operational oversight.

    Only candidates with recent experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry will be considered.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage daily accounting operations
    • Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
    • Lead cash flow, AP, AR, and payroll functions
    • Direct the month-end and year-end close
    • Prepare financial statements and reports for leadership
    • Develop and monitor the annual operating budget
    • Ensure accurate project cost tracking and reporting
    • Review contracts for financial accuracy and compliance
    • Provide financial insights to support strategic decisions

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5+ years in a senior accounting role (Controller, Accounting Manager, etc.)
    • AEC industry experience required
    • Familiarity with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is a plus
    • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and PDF tools
    • Clear communication and strong organizational skills
