    About the Role

    We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Regional Controller/Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations of our organization and partner closely with ownership and leadership. This role is ideal for a finance professional who enjoys both high-level strategy and day-to-day financial management. We are an operationally driven company with 125+ employees and multiple territories, and need a candidate to professionalize and lead our financial operations. This position is highly operational based and is expected to drive profitability, and growth.

    Candidate will lead the accounting team, oversee day-to-day financial operations, and provide clear financial visibility that improves margins, collections, and decision-making across the organization. Experience in restoration, construction, contracting, or service-based operations is preferred but not mandatory. The candidate must understand job costing, labor efficiency, and cash flow management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee all accounting operations including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and month-end close

    Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts

    Ensure compliance tax regulations, and internal controls

    Manage audits, tax filings, and coordination with external CPAs

    Develop financial strategies to support growth and operational efficiency

    Provide financial reporting and insights to ownership and senior leadership

    Monitor and improve cost controls, profitability, and financial processes

    Support banking relationships, financing, and capital planning as needed

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)

    7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

    5+ years experience as a Controller, CFO, or Senior Accounting leader

    Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting

    Experience with payroll, tax filings, and audit coordination

    Proficiency with QBO, accounting software and Excel

    Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

    Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial operations
