Compensation: $180,000 - $250,000 Annual Salary

Position Description:
We are looking for a knowledgeable Controller for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Toms River NJ. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Qualifications of the Controller:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• 5+ years of financial experience within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Strong knowledge of long-term care reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid billing, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead financial teams and drive process improvements.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Great Plains, or similar

Responsibilities of the Controller:

• Oversee day-to-day finance operations within the corporate office, supporting multiple SNF locations.
• Manage, coach, and supervise four finance managers covering billing, AR, AP, and accounting functions.
• Partner with the CFO to prepare financial statements, forecasts, and strategic reports.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid, third-party payer requirements, and all healthcare-specific financial regulations.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting processes, and internal controls across departments.
• Support audits, cost reporting, and external reporting obligations.
• Identify financial risks and recommend improvements to drive accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
• Serve as a financial liaison to regional and facility-level leadership when needed
