    Christie’s International Real Estate Emerald Coast (CIREEC) is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy Bookkeeper / Controller to oversee all financial operations of our luxury real estate brokerage. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with brokerage accounting standards, and delivering financial reporting to ownership. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and understands the complexities of real estate brokerage accounting, including commission structures, escrow/trust account oversight, vendor payments, and financial forecasting. This position plays a critical role in supporting CIREEC’s continued growth by ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strong internal controls. Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Strategic Analysis • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including: • Profit & Loss Statements • Balance Sheets • Cash Flow Reports • Commission Revenue Reports • Monitor brokerage profitability and department-level expenses • Provide ownership with financial insights, trend analysis, and recommendations for operational improvement • Assist with forecasting revenue, budgeting, and growth planning Budgeting & Cash Flow Management • Monitor company cash flow and forecast short- and long-term financial needs • Track expenses against budget and identify cost-saving opportunities • Support annual budget planning and financial goal setting • Provide proactive reporting on financial risks and opportunities Payroll, Compliance & Tax Coordination • Oversee payroll processing for staff and contractor payments where applicable • Coordinate year-end reporting including 1099s, W-2s, and tax documentation • Work directly with external CPA, tax professionals, auditors, and financial advisors • Ensure compliance with federal, Florida, and brokerage-specific financial regulations Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred • 5+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or controller experience • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting practices • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Excellent communication and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience in luxury real estate brokerage operations • Experience working with high-volume transaction environments • Experience supporting rapidly growing companies Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000
