About the Role We are a growing healthcare services organization seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial reporting as the organization continues to scale. This role is ideal for an experienced Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Assistant Controller ready to take the next step into broader financial ownership within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and month-end close

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP

Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll coordination

Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring

Reporting & Compliance

Prepare internal financial reports for leadership

Support external accountants with year-end close and tax filings

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls

Assist with audit preparation, as applicable

Process Improvement & Growth Support

Improve accounting workflows and documentation

Support system optimization and reporting enhancements

Partner with leadership on financial insights and operational planning

Requires independent judgment and strong attention to detail

Required Qualifications

4 -7 years of progressive accounting experience

Experience in a small to mid-size organization

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation

Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel

High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in healthcare or regulated environments

Experience supporting audits or external accountants

CPA preferred but not required

CPA-eligible or progress toward CPA a plus
