SUMMARY

We are seeking a Controller in San Antonio, Texas who will oversee accounting for multiple restaurant / QSR - Quick Server Restaurants / fast food operations.  This role will serve as a key financial partner to ownership and executive leadership, providing insight, structure, and scalability as the organization continues to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple legal entities
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across all companies
• Prepare and consolidate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable state and federal regulations
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
• Coordinate with external CPAs on tax filings, audits, and year-end reporting
• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance across entities
• Lead and mentor accounting staff; evaluate workflows and improve efficiency
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist leadership with financial modeling, strategic planning, and ad-hoc analysis
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger functions

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (CPA preferred)
• Proven experience managing accounting for multiple restaurant / QSR - Quick Server Restaurants / fast food operations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting
• Proficiency with restaurant accounting systems and Excel.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience in privately held or family-owned businesses, restaurant / fast food a must. 
• Background in multi-location operations
• Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions, or entity expansion
