We are seeking a Controller to join our team. This position is an onsite position located in Houston Texas.

About Us: We are a fast-growing SaaS company operating under a parent company structure with multiple entities. We're looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure compliance, accuracy, and financial transparency across our portfolio.

About the Role: As our Controller, you’ll oversee financial operations across multiple entities, lead month-end close, ensure compliance with ASC 606 and GAAP, and prepare audit-ready documentation for external audits. You’ll bring deep expertise in SaaS financial metrics and tools, along with multi-state tax compliance, to support our continued growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all accounting operations including month-end close, consolidations, and intercompany transactions across multiple entities.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition in a SaaS environment.

Prepare audit-ready documentation and support all external audits.

Oversee multi-state tax compliance, including sales and use tax filings.

Maintain and optimize use of accounting systems including QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, SaaSOptics/Maxio, and Excel.

Track and analyze key SaaS metrics: MRR, ARR, Churn, CAC, Revenue Retention, etc.

Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales Ops, and Customer Success teams to ensure financial alignment.

Manage Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycles, including customer invoicing, collections, vendor payments, and expense coding.

Lead continuous improvements in accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is nice to have).

5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS environment and/or managing multiple entities under a parent structure.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.

Proven experience preparing for and supporting external audits.

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, SaaSOptics or Maxio, and advanced Excel.

Experience with multi-state tax compliance (sales/use tax, franchise, etc.).

Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and how they drive decision-making.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
