Job Title: Controller
Location: Addison, Illinois

Job Purpose
The Controller is responsible for leading all aspects of financial management, accounting operations, and reporting across the organization, including international entities. This role ensures timely, accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with global regulatory standards, and supports strategic decision-making across regions. The Controller will play a key role in driving process improvements and financial consistency across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and relevant international standards.
Lead the global month-end and year-end close processes.
Manage general ledger functions, AR/AP, payroll, tax compliance, and statutory reporting across multiple countries.
Coordinate with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with country-specific financial and tax regulations.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls across global operations.
Act as primary liaison with external auditors and oversee international audits.
Develop and standardize global accounting policies and procedures.
Monitor currency impacts, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing practices.
Support treasury, cash management, and foreign exchange exposure analysis.
Provide financial insights and business partnership to regional and global leadership.
Lead and mentor a geographically dispersed accounting and finance team.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent international qualification preferred (e.g., CMA).
8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 1 year managing experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS, and multi-country statutory reporting.
Proven ability to manage a small to mid-sized accounting team.
Hands-on experience with SAP.
Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Fluency in English required.
