    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of a growing hospitality management group overseeing 10+ hotels across multiple states. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing strategic financial insight to support ownership and executive leadership.

    The ideal candidate brings a strong background in hotel accounting, multi-property oversight, and a hands-on leadership style.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee all accounting operations for a portfolio of 10+ hotels, including full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close

    Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP

    Monitor and analyze financial performance, including variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting

    Ensure compliance with brand standards (Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt) and ownership reporting requirements

    Lead, mentor, and develop on-property and centralized accounting teams

    Maintain and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures

    Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and banking partners

    Oversee cash management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll review, and capital expenditures

    Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, cost controls, and financial efficiency

    Assist in acquisitions, transitions, and new hotel openings as needed

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)

    5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in hospitality or multi-unit environments

    Strong knowledge of hotel financial metrics (RevPAR, GOP, NOI, CPOR)

    Experience with hotel systems such as M3, ProfitSword, Opera, or similar platforms

    Proven ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
