    Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a premier manufacturer in Farmington, NY to recruit a Controller.

    Company Summary:

    Position Summary:

    The Controller is responsible for overseeing general accounting and financial reporting, and financial services including credit, A/R and A/P. Along with leading and managing financial resources to achieve company goals and improve performance and profitability.

    The Controller will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls ensuring company assets are adequately safeguarded and all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading, developing, and managing the finance department and policies and procedures.
    • Overseeing accounts payables and receivables, monitoring cash disbursements and receipt ensuring compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
    • Implementing and maintaining internal controls ensuring company assets are safeguarded and financial reporting is prepared in accordance with financial policies and US GAAP.
    • Evaluating trends to establish accounting operational strategies and maintaining and publishing key critical metrics and comparing performance with operating plans and standards along with facilitating corrective actions to improve results.
    • Developing annual budget and financial projections, budget and forecasting preparation, and advising departments on the collection and analysis of data.
    • Managing system and accounting software and involved with changes and improvements.
    • Managing proper timing and application of revenue recognition rules.
    • Supervising registration and filing of applicable returns.
    • Responsible for month and year-end closings, including reporting.
    • Working with outside CPA firm regarding taxes, tax regulations, strategies, and filing returns.
    • Monitoring inventory levels and advise management regarding variance in budget. Minimizing inventory investments by analyzing turns, recommending inventory levels and reorder points.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA/CGMA/MBA are desired.
    • 6+ years’ experience in manufacturing and 3+ years in a leadership position.
    • Working knowledge in automated accounting systems and providing high-level financial analysis.
    • Highly proficient accounting software and Microsoft applications.
    • Demonstrating strong leadership skills and ability to form, lead and develop high-performing cross-functional teams.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all staff.

    $130,000-$150,000 per year
