Job Overview The Controller is responsible for leading the financial success of our hotel. Much more than debits and credits, they champion financial planning through budgeting and forecasting; ensure compliance through auditing and controls; and teach and develop our teams to be future finance leaders. Collaboration with our Sales, Revenue, Operations, and third-party partners is key to success. They are responsible for leading and developing a team of managers and support staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including GAAP and USALI guidelines and various regulatory requirements in each market. This role encompasses strategic planning, policy development, audit compliance, owner and lender relations, and financial reporting.
The person having this position must possess good communication skills, have the ability to resolve conflict, and have a thorough understanding of LINE and Saguaro policies, procedures and expectations. Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
