Job Description
The Controller is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of an organization’s accounting and financial operations. This role ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, maintains regulatory compliance, supports strategic planning, and leads the accounting team in delivering timely and reliable financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Accounting Operations:
Oversee core functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the development and monitoring of annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
Compliance:
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, SEC reporting), and company policies.
Internal Controls:
Design and implement internal controls to protect assets, ensure accurate reporting, and prevent fraud.
Financial Analysis:
Interpret financial data to assess performance, guide strategy, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Audit Management:
Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the audit process.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
Strategic Planning:
Partner with executive leadership to develop financial strategies that align with organizational goals.
Risk Management:
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
