Role Snapshot

We’re hiring a hands-on Controller to own day-to-day and month-end accounting for a growing home care organization. Partnering closely with the CFO, you’ll lead the close, drive audit readiness, and elevate reporting and controls while guiding a small, capable team in a fast-moving healthcare environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead monthly and annual closes across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Prepare GAAP-compliant financials and support external audits and tax filings

• Manage and mentor a blended team (in-house and outsourced) to deliver high-quality work

• Maintain core accounting operations: bank recs, AP/AR integrity, and journal entries

• Build and refine processes, internal controls, and documentation to improve efficiency

• Produce recurring reports, variance analyses, and insights for the CFO and leadership

You’re a Fit If You

• Bring deep knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting

• Have 5+ years of progressive experience, including team oversight

• Are detail-obsessed, organized, and steady under deadlines

• Communicate clearly and collaborate well across departments

• Are proficient in Excel and modern accounting systems

• Hold an Accounting degree (CPA helpful but not required)

• Are comfortable working onsite; industry change-overs welcome (healthcare a plus)
