General Placement Serviceis recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-standing Life & Annuity insurance carrier. They seek to hire a Controller to direct regulatory and statutory financials for their organization. In this role the successful candidate will ensure financial statements are complete, accurate, and in compliance with requirements.

In this role, you will:

• Direct all statutory accounting, including financial statements and audits
• Quarterly and annual statutory reporting
• Ensure compliance
• Reinsurance reporting
• Manage statutory capital levels (BCAR, RBC, etc.)
• Manage outsourced preparation of GAAP & statutory tax provisions
• Manage state deposits

To be qualified, you must have:

• 10+ years of insurance industry accounting experience
• 6+ years of Life & Health Insurance experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
