RTD Talent Solutions is currently representing a non-profit with more than 50 years of operations and specializes in assisting the elderly and under-serviced populations of Miami, FL that is currently seeking a (Financial) Controller. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity.
As Controller, you would be responsible for managing their operational finance and accounting department, along with functions of financial reporting for one of the most established non-profits in South Florida.
Key Job Duties:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the organization’s operating budget, providing variance analysis and financial forecasting.
- Maintain and enforce strong internal controls to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and effective stewardship of nonprofit resources.
- Manage grant accounting and restricted funds, ensuring expenditures align with grant agreements and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate annual audits, prepare supporting schedules, and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
- Support executive leadership with financial insights, operational reporting, and strategic recommendations to enhance organizational sustainability.
