Job Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations of a privately held organization. This role also serves as the primary liaison for human resources administration and provides strategic financial guidance to executive leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts and prepare cash flow projections.
- Manage organizational cash flow and financial resources.
- Maintain business insurance programs and related requirements.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and reports.
- Analyze and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate human resources administrative functions, including payroll processing and onboarding activities, in partnership with external service providers.
- Establish and maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Advise leadership on insurance coverage and risk management strategies.
- Lead the budgeting process, including budget development, review, supporting documentation, and financial justification.
- Monitor tax law changes and recommend operational or financial adjustments as needed.
- Support the development of financial strategies, objectives, and organizational policies.
- Assist with annual tax filings and related compliance requirements.
- Maintain and organize contracts, corporate records, and legal documentation.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- MBA with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
