As the Controller, you will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors in managing and overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and daily operations of the agency. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, developing and implementing accounting strategies, analyzing and reporting on the fiscal performance of various departments, compiling and managing the agency budget, and assisting with the annual audit and tax return. In this role, you will build relationships with several nonprofit agencies, the Council on Chemical Abuse (COCA), and the Adult Probation & Parole Office. You must be a strong communicator who can also work independently in guiding the financial health of the agency. This is a full-time position with benefits and flexible hours, including the option of working remotely at the discretion of the Executive Director. Responsibilities: • Manage, track, and record accounts payable and receivable • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements • Process monthly fee-for-service billing with CCBH • Process monthly billing from COCA and other funding sources • Prepare, balance, and manage agency budget • Oversee annual audit and tax preparation • Prepare and process biweekly payroll for 60 employees • Prepare financial statements and present them to the board of directors during bimonthly board meetings Qualifications: • Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks • Knowledge and experience with accounting principles, payroll processing, and budget preparation • Experience with Excel and compilation of financial reports • Ability to provide financial analysis and projections • Ability to prepare and present financial reports in an understandable manner Compensation: $31 - $36 hourly
