Responsibilities
Close the Books: Perform data entry, reconcile accounts, and complete necessary journal entries, adjustments, and month-end procedures.
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Project Management: Coordinate and track tasks and assignments to ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
Audit Management: Oversee audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for audit-related activities.
HR Oversight: Support payroll processing, benefits administration, and workers’ compensation compliance.
Qualifications / Qualities
Minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience.
Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required: Sage Intacct, McLeod, Alvys, ADP, Brex, bank reconciliations, or logistics-related environments (trucking or brokerage).
Fluency in Spanish or knowledge of Mexican accounting practices, tax regulations, and payroll laws are strong advantages.
Willingness to travel occasionally; regular travel is not expected.
Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to shift priorities as business needs and deadlines evolve.
Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
